Boston While Black’s iconic summer celebration is back—and this year, we’re taking over the neighborhood.
After four years of unforgettable memories at the Lawn on D, we’re celebrating our 5th anniversary with a powerful expansion:
More spaces. More joy. More of us.
We’re transforming both the Lawn on D and Boston’s Seaport District into a multi-block celebration of Black culture, creativity, and community. Expect live performances, food, vibes, family fun, and 25,000+ of us showing up for joy and belonging.
The Lawn on D is a ticketed experience.
This is your access point for the main stage performances, roller skating rink, food trucks, photo activations, Spades tournament, kids activity lawn, free parking, and more.
Whether you're here for the music, the vibes, or the chance to just be, you'll want to be inside the gates.
The Seaport District is free and open to all.
Enjoy dance lessons, a music lounge and bar, food vendors curated by our partner Everybody Gotta Eat, interactive displays, double dutch, and other pop-up cultural experiences that center joy in motion.
This small fee helps keep the event community-powered, ensuring we can continue building spaces that center us.
Think of it as your ticket to joy—and your investment in BWB!
And for the first time, you get to curate your own experience, with new access levels and premium options designed for how you want to show up.
